Henri Phijffer (Partner)
Henri Phijffer (1960) - having a degree in civil and tax law - gained a large part of his expertise with ING Bank and Fortis Bank. With these banks he implemented several financing structures for a.o. the markets in which Bright Capital Partners nowadays is active: (sustainable) energy and logistics.
Henri was responsible for engineering the financing structure of Offshore Windpark Q7 which is being build before the Dutch coast. Henri built an impressive track record in renewable energy project since he developed a supporting lease concept for these kind of projects in the early nineties.
In the logistic sector Henri brought a number of innovative financing structures, which have been implemented in a range of transactions. The tax sparing based operating lease concept implemented for aircraft, as well as the tonnage tax based preferred equity financing of vessels are good examples.
In the Fortis organisation Henri was positioned as Head of the Global Structured Finance / Director Corporate Bank, managing a team of structured finance professionals. Whilst at ING he worked 5 years for ING Lease focusing on international lease transactions.
